The Chinese Academy of Science has developed one car with CF on the shell. The researchers said that the largest features of CF composite car are lighter and faster while compared with normal steel cars. Compared with normal steel cars, CF composite car is 60% less in weight and this car could drive additional 50 kms in the same condition. Although CF is quite light, it is relatively safe. It looks like plastic, but it has better impact strength than steel. The CF steering wheel, bumper has higher mechanical strength and impact strength. CF automobile has become armored car of the household automobiles in conjunction with the composite material. CF material has been applied in the skirt of high-speed trains.
